#MUON Cascading Light.
Harts Mill, Adelaide Fringe 2018

Central to MUON installation is the
Hodoscope - cosmic ray detector.
The device works by detecting muons using an overlapping array of 18 Geiger Muller tubes - the very same type of detectors used in a Geiger counter to measure radiation.
As the 'Cosmic Ray's' (Muon's) are picked up by the cosmic ray detector, it is translated in real time into sonic and visual form.
Data from the Univerese some milltions of years old. This is the worlds oldest sound recording !
